A Lawn Care Supervisor is an almost exclusively outdoor job and is responsible for the overall supervision of the lawn care field operations within an area, including ensuring proper training of lawn care crews, preparing work schedules and assignments, tracking hours worked, ensuring proper maintenance of equipment, inventory management and procurement, and performing grounds inspections. They are also the person charged with the driving, training and directing the actions of their particular lawn care crew.
While is this is a supervisory role, lawn care supervisor's are expected to be involved in the actual lawn care duties.
A candidate for this position has a strong work ethic, valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable transportation to work, and a good attendance record. Experience managing the training and field operations of multiple lawn care teams is required. He or she must have:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing and training multiple teams of Lawn Care Technicians and Foremans
- Experience managing scheduling requirements and tracking work hours of lawn care teams
- Enthusiasm for working outdoors and in various weather conditions
- Ability to operate machinery
- Be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds
